• Empire name: Genarian Empire
• Homeworld: Genar
• Evolved on Genar (which means “Canyon”). It’s a moon of the Gas Giant Genon (the deity of old religions). Tides have torn three deep canyons on the surface of the moon, and only at their bottom there’s breathable atmosphere.
• The “Hell Canyon” has thin crust and is very hot. Local animals (known as “devils”) have evolved radiator fins to help them cool down. Local “plant” life use a chemical reaction based on sulfur that draws heat from the soil.
• The university is on Hell Canyon. It’s the only place where scientists are allowed, so they don’t mess with the Church.
• “Limbo Canyon” is where the Genarians evolved. Many local creatures are arboreal and it’s said that the Genarians evolved their third arm to have an extra hand while swinging. The place is covered by a shanty town, since the Church forbids population control and there aren’t enough resources for everyone. Guards are everywhere to see that people “behave”.
• The Church of New Spode is based on the teachings of a genarian Prophet (featured on Bauder’s Gate). He traveled the sector and learned about the many religions, and mixed them up to form his own, that claimed he was the second coming of Spode himself. “Heaven Canyon” is where the church claims the “good” followers are reborn. It’s a lush garden. The Church representatives already live there in a luxury condominium.
